Xu Jiang was born in 1955 in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of China Academy of Fine Arts. He attended advanced class in Hamburg Art Institute in Germany in 1988. His paintings were selected into the 6th National Fine Arts Exhibition, the 1st and 2nd China Oil Painting Exhibition and the Shanghai Biennial Art Exhibition in 1996. His works were collected by the China National Art Gallery and other domestic and overseas art institutions.
